Payment in Kind (Offline Payment Method)

Payment in kind is a way of paying for something without using cash. It can be either a good or a service that is given instead of money.

Glue Up allows you to enable payment in kind as an offline payment method for your events or memberships. This means that if your attendees or members choose this option, they will not be charged online, but they will have to pay you in another way that you agree on. You will also have to manually update the payment status for their order in your Glue Up dashboard.

Note: Glue Up will not automate any kind of process for payment in-kind transactions. You have to follow up with your customers to receive the benefit agreed on their ‘in kind’ payment method, such as goods or services. You will also have to ensure that you comply with the relevant laws and regulations regarding payment in kind in your jurisdiction.

To enable payment in kind on Glue Up, follow these steps:

For events:
1. Log in to your Glue Up account and go to the event that you want to edit.
2. Click on the Settings tab and then on the Registration Settings section.
3. Click on the Payment Options button and check the box next to Payment in Kind.
4. Click on Save to apply the changes.
For memberships:
1. Log in to your Glue Up account and go to the membership that you want to edit.
2. Click on the Settings tab and then on the General Information section.
3. Scroll down to the Payment and Refund Options section and check the box next to Payment in Kind.
4. Click on Save to apply the changes.

Now, when your attendees or members register for your event or membership, they will see the payment in kind option among the available payment methods. They will have to follow the instructions that you provided to complete their payment.
